COLONIZATION

The power of plants to colonize exploitable habitats is simply awesome. This one grew up a 4 foot deep (1.22 m) hole in a Jersey Barrier that weighs 2 tons (1818+ kg) along side the race track at Road America. Truly inspiring.

I believe this is Virginia Creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) in full fall color.
