Another Sunday hike at Lapakisto area.

Today we did 14km in 3 hours and 40 minutes.

Weather was great. There was some very light snow and frost in some places visible, but most of the route the sun was shining. There were lots of people there enjoying the weather. Some had the fire going in Laavu areas.

What is Laavu you ask! Well, it originates from Sami language and is a type of shelter for hikers, open on one side, quite often open towards lake or other landscape. It's free for anyone to use and in our area there's free firewood for the fire available.
