(298) Dad

I have a fairly extensive collection of old family photographs that I'm working through, digitising, annotating, and dating etc., as far as possible as the collective family memories allow. Today I was delighted to see a selection of photos that I'd never seen before, courtesy of a cousin of my late father. This picture is one of these photos and shows my Dad as a young boy, standing in the front garden where building work was taking place to extend the waiting room that was attached to the family house where my Grandfather had his surgery as one of the local GPs. Apparently, this is when my Dad learned to swear, courtesy of the builders 'banter'! The date of the original photo would be somewhere around 1940-ish.
