(299) Timescape
This is a telephoto shot from Pettycur beach in Kinghorn, Fife, looking towards the Forth bridges, with the silhouette of Inchcolm island in front, just before sunset. In terms of timespan of human activity within this frame, it must be in the order of over 900 years, from the time of the first recorded settlements on Inchcolm in the 1100s through to the opening of the Queensferry Crossing in 2017.
