Brunch time

There was competition on the lawn late this morning as a pair of jackdaws vied with a magpie  for the remains of Violet's porridge.  There being two jackdaws, they one against the lone magpie who had to wait until this pair had finished for his turn.  Taken through glass and some 60 odd feet away, this isn't the best of shots but those pale eyes show up nicely.
In other news: apparently we in the UK can save Christmas if we just get on and have our booster vaccinations.  So once more it will apparently  be our own fault if we don't do as we should and Christmas goes out of the window .....
