Horse ride

We thought we were having a bit of bad luck, until this happened.  

The husband and eldest went off for a couple of hours in a canoe (the youngest didn't want to do it), but he was happy about visiting a steam museum and we were assured by reception staff where we are staying that it was dog friendly.  Perfect.  Except it wasn't dog friendly, which was a bit sad for a 5 year old. We went back and the consolation prize was a hot chocolate in the cafe - where two very lovely horses were having a well-earned snack after a ride in the forest.  The lovely lady asked if the youngest would like a little ride - the smile on his face was about as big as the horse!
