Nell was desperately trying to get Eva's attention. Eva's attention was on Strictly so she had no chance. We've not really been Strictly fans in this house but we watched it last week with the Castledines and now she is hooked.

Spent the day catching up with our four legged friends. Nell very happy to be back from Kennels. Flora and Charley seem a bit out of sorts. Mum said they really missed us and neither of them are eating properly. The worst of it is, the holiday cottage owners have accused us of having a dog there! Apparently the cleaners "thought" they saw a paw print in the games room, which is just utter rubbish. They are trying to withhold our £200 bond saying we've breached their rules so we may as well have saved ourselves the £160 kennel fee and the diversion to Shropshire to take the others to mums and just taken them!!

We've asked to see photographic evidence, but they haven't sent any (because they don't have it!) so we have to take it up with the booking agent when they open tomorrow. We pointed out they could check the CCTV camera of us arriving, clearly without dogs. Rather conveniently she now doesn't think that is hooked up. Whole thing has put a right dampner on the week which is such a shame as we had a really good time and I can't believe they can just come out and accuse us of this without any proof. We looked after the house when we were there, removing shoes in the porch, stripped all the beds when we left, emptied the bins etc (and we had to be out at 9am "because of Covid") . They are obviously trying to scam us out of even more money when we already paid a 40% increase on last year's prices "due to Covid" as they hadn't published their 2021 price when we booked. What horrible people.

Anyway, need to move on! Had a lovely ride out on Lime this afternoon. He was very excited and very vocal , squealing and whinnying as we went through the village! Mike took the kids on a hack. They missed Jack loads.
