Zig-Zag Hill Woodland

We had a very early start and despite the forecast for wall-to-wall low cloud, we got lucky with a misty sunrise (see extras) before spending most of the day photographing beautiful woodland.  

The hill we were on was described as the 'zigzag hill' because of the way the forest was draped over the curves, but my shots of that are rather lacklustre (they need mist or sun...)   The location was near Shaftesbury, where we had an excellent and well deserved brunch!
