Project 365 day 220 : Early August in the garden
I'm finally back blipping my August collage of photos documenting my garden and the surrounding landscape, taken on Sunday 8th August but only just assembled into a collage. I have been trying to do this every month for about a year and a half now, though this is not the only month for which I have taken lots of photos but not completed the process. It was not a good summer for growing things, with lots of cloudy, wet and not particularly warm weather, though we did have to do far less watering than in previous years. In early August many of the fields were already ploughed in preparation for the sowing of winter wheat, we were eating salads, courgettes and tomatoes from the garden and greenhouse, and the herbs and squashes were coming along nicely. Some of the apples and pears were looking promising, but as always the jackdaws were starting to peck them and knock them down before they were ripe enough for us to eat.
If you are looking at this on 26th/27th October, if you have time you might also check out today's tiny pumpkin photo, blipped just a little earlier.
