Douglas C-47 Dakota or DC-3

Again I was inside getting a cool drink on a warm day when I heard engines, very old engines and knew the sound as I have heard this a few times before so quickly grabbed the Camera which already had the 250mm IS lens and quickly got a couple of shots off before it disappeared.

These are one of the planes that have made and altered history and flown in just about every part of the world either in a military role as a C-47 or as a civilian aircraft as a DC-3. There was even one as a top dresser I remember seeing a few times.

I guess this one will be heading towards Blenheim for the Marlborough Air Show.
