Old Car Dash

I went to a car show today and there were plenty of older models which I particularly like. I like things mechanical and in particular cars of the 50's to 70's and some later ones. The large bumpers and chrome grills are always a treat as are wings but I also enjoy some of the dash layouts.

This is typical of the 50's era. It reminds me of the glow of the dash at night while I was driving between Westport and Christchurch in the middle of the night, keeping one eye on the fuel gauge trying to estimate if I had enough to reach Christchurch or if I had to slow down or even if I had to sleep outside a petrol station until it opened. It was just 50cents a Gallon (4.5 Litres) back then :)
