A grand day out on The Great Lancashire Railway!

Tip top ride over the tops from Todmorden into Bacup and onto the train at Rawtenstall.

From Rawtenstall to Bury where the Bury Transport Museum provided an interesting stop off. The selection of old buses, trams, tractors and so on really are incredible.

Back to the train from Bury to Ramsbottom alighting to walk to Peel Tower. The views from way up high on the hill are spectacular as you see as far as Manchester and Blackburn...and beyond.

A final trip back on the train to Rawtenstall before driving back.

All without any rain despite the forecast for heavy rain from 10am until Friday late afternoon...!!!
