Diary of an Edinburgher

Epic treats

After JR had had her two breakfasts when she came home from the gym, we decided to go somewhere we hadn’t been for a while, and I wanted it to include a bus journey - BraidBurn Valley Park. The bus stops right at the gate! Funnily enough, there was another dog on the bus, a collie, who cried and howled the whole time! At least Archie doesn’t do that…

The sun was trying to come out, but it was warm enough. The wee burn looked pretty full, and Archie wisely decided not to go down and try to get a drink.

I got the bus home from there, while the others walked, via the pet shop to get some wee treats for you-know-who.

I passed by our new favourite cafe, Pomelo, to pick up a couple of sweet chilli chicken bao buns. But they had run out! So I got a couple of their home made cinnamon buns/pastries instead, and they were EPIC! JR was initially disappointed at there being no bao buns, but was delighted with the pastry.

Great news in the Budget - prosecco will be a few pence cheaper!
