Today is National Cheese Toastie Day! So to celebrate the occasion, my brother and I took dad out for lunch at the Bath Soft Cheese Company Café at Kelston, for a Wife of Bath cheese toastie in a shed!

Another mild day (16), another early start and another busy morning, so lunch out was a real treat. Had only just got home when mum phoned to say she was being discharged, a day early. So back in the car to Peasedown St John, and by 5.30pm mum was home. Thank you for all your kind words and good wishes, the op went well, now for the long road to recovery. I’ll try not to fall asleep in the bath again, but I’m not promising anything...
