Freeport

We traveled south to Freeport today to find a warm winter jacket for MrsP. We knew we would find something she liked at LL Bean, plus I couldn’t resist blipping their iconic Bean Boot standing tall at the front entrance of the store. To us it seemed a random Thursday on the last week of October, weeks before the Christmas rush, so we were a bit surprised at how busy it was. The store was stocked full, long lines formed at every register and even a few decorated Christmas trees were visible to remind us all of what’s coming. There certainly was an energy of hustle-and-bustle in the air. Thank goodness there wasn’t any holiday music playing - that would have been too much. Let’s get through Halloween, please • After Bean we stopped at our favorite Health Food Store before heading home. It was a lovely drive with many golden leaves still clinging to the trees for our viewing pleasure • Did I mention the sun and blue sky? More tomorrow (YaY) but then it’s downhill for the weekend. There’s actually “snow” in the forecast changing to rain early Saturday morning • Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells…
