Finally, I discovered a furry face in our heart trap this morning. This elusive little brown mouse has been a challenge to capture. Some of the missed attempts were due to my own learning curve in how to set the trap properly. Not that it was difficult per se, but understanding exactly how it works was a bit of a mystery at first. There’s a finesse angle to it because the trap has a door on each end. Anyway, between my missteps and the craftiness of my hungry friend, it’s taken awhile to catch our houseguest • Because of the frosty start we waited until late morning to take Mister Brown for a short 10 minute ride. He was relocated to a sunny pasture beneath some power lines with access to lots of grass, trees and water. Only the best for our cute whiskered client • My guess is Mister Brown isn’t a loner so the trap will be baited with a special blend of peanut butter and seed once again tonight • Round Two tomorrow?
