Seeing the Light
Main event of the day was a long walk with our minister and his new rescue dog, Bonnie (who is gorgeous).
Walked through Rectory and all along Newhall, talking. Regretted not taking my camera because the sunlight on the autumn trees was breathtakingly beautiful. This is best I could do on my phone, will do as a memory.
We talked about how important it is that we learn to agree to disagree, to respect and cherish folk who think differently to us - that if we can just listen, we might even learn something, and who knows... even... change our minds. Wouldn't that be something?
Gratefuls:
- the colours and light of a rainy English autumn day
- stimulating conversation
- reading to Allegra, seven books! (Daddy and Zion away at a basketball match)
