Magic stuff!
Today Kathryn and I went out for our much delayed Mother's Day 2020 brunch at Dishoom in St Andrew's Square. Once we had sat down, to accompany the menus the waiter brought us this very superior hand gel. We had a delicious meal with surprisingly few spices in it. A stack of Uttapam with yogurt, fruit and coconut, and a jug of jaggery syrup followed by the Dishoom speciality of rolled filled Naan. In my case bacon and in Kathryn's egg. They were delicious lovely light naan bread. We finished, of course with Chai.
We braved the rain again and drove down to pick up the girls from school. They'd gone to school dressed for Halloween. Guising isn't really on this year so the children were all pleased to have the chance to dress up and wear their outfits and face paints to school. Eilidh was a vampire, with the most realistically unpleasant fangs. Isobel, I think, was a wolf, she certainly had very good eyebrows!
I went home with them for a short while, Eilidh played her violin for me for the first time. She did very well. She's got very good posture and stance already.
I had a quiet afternoon, a bit of sewing where I adjusted the height of the side of a new facemask. I've got quite a collection of masks, i don't see why they can't be interesting and nice to look at, if they are stuck over the front of my face.
I watched the first episode of Shetland tonight, I do enjoy the scenery and watching Douglas Henshall too. It's a bit strange seeing Mark Bonnar planning a goody! Talking of Goodies, I wonder if there are any plans to review that series, it was fun!
Keep safe everyone.
Oops nearly forgot, here's the art quiz. 8 for me today, how about you?
