After the Storm…

Peace and quiet and clear skies very early this morning after last night’s tremendous thunder storm. This view is looking upstream towards the High Street bridge and mountains in the far distance. A lot of storm damage to buildings in downtown Blenheim. 43 mm of rain fell in one hour. That is a LOT of rain for Blenheim. Apparently hailstones blocked gutters and down-pipes and the heavy rain had no where to go. Hence the surface flooding. Take care folks.
