An old gravestone in late afternoon sunshine

On another walk in the cemetery in the late afternoon the setting sun shone over one of the wild areas of the new cemetery. The town council's Green Spaces team, who manage the cemetery as a nature reserve, leave certain areas of the graveyard untended to allow the various creatures' lifestyles to be undisturbed. This area does have many graves and gravestones, but this old local rock was the only one with its head above the grasses.
