Round 2

“No Vacancy” at the Heart Trap Motel this morning. Our one room motel was occupied by another whiskered wonder. We’ve named them Alphie and Martha Brown. It wasn’t as cold this morning so no frost to worry about, and it was only misting out, so we decided to relocate Martha straight away, even before coffee (me) or tea (MrsP) • On our way to Powerline Palace we passed a number of bovines and sheep grazing in a pasture near a man-made pond, and further down the road watched eight turkeys cross from one side of the road to the other. No, I don’t know why! • Arriving at our relocation spot we found an abandoned pickup truck. It was unexpected and upsetting because we wanted to release Martha in the exact place as Alphie. Although the truck looked empty, what if someone was inside sleeping? We decided for our own safety and Martha’s to release her in the general area as her Mister. Will they find each other and be reunited? • The turkeys were no where to be seen on our return trip but we did stop to say hello to the friendly bovines and sheep • I’ll bait the trap again tomorrow night but we’re feeling confident at the moment that we have rid our house of fuzzy houseguests :)
