Taking a break

We took a break this morning from the flood to do a little shopping at the Amish shop. We picked up cabbage and beets. They had a beautiful display of gourds. I was surprised at the large number of people just now buying their gourds. One man bought 30 medium and large ones. Everyone I saw had a cart full and plenty of kids enjoying the variety. The fun soon ended and it was back to flood clean up. Our pier is caught up on a pile. We have been working on getting it ready for the 4' high tide at 10:00 pm. We have several lines and come alongs set up to try to drag it off as well as a large pier float under it to raise it up enough. A bit nerve-racking in the dark with high water and working on a pier that is jacked up on one side. I'm to old for this crap!
