Cleaning up
The might river has calmed down once again thankfully. The sky looked threatening but only a few drops fell on us. Maybe VA got the rain.
Last night at 10:00 we had another high tide. Hubby and I were finally able to get the floating pier off the pile it was stuck up on. Hubby removed the extra float this am when the tide had fallen. Now we will have to wait and see if the floats are damaged and sink. I sure hope not.
We went to check on my mothers property, checked in on sister and BIL, with his new knee and repaired a toilet for them. Went to Mr. Holden's to check on him and our boat. Thankfully all was ok there. Then home again to clean up the trash and debris that washed up on the beach. The yard and garden will have to wait as the yard still has water in it. The tide tomorrow is supposed to be lower and maybe we can start the clean up out there. The extra is hubby raking the beach trash in piles and we will load it in the wheelbarrow and haul it away. We are going to need a vacation after this. This storm was compared to Isabel and although it was bad it was not as bad as Isabel, at least not for us.
