The latest contribution from our Angela Harding calendar, featuring a Long Eared Owl.

She states that there is nothing so arresting as the stare of an owl;  in this image she tried to capture that feeling and the clear, sharp shadows of a night lit by the full moon.

At first I took the flying owl to be a bat, to add to the spooky scene - perhaps, just for tonight, it might be so... .

Happy Hallowe'en to those that celebrate it, we are not expecting a Flumlet to come trick-or-treating so my attempts at crocheting a small pumpkin can wait another year.
