One Of The Last Blooms of Winter...

My beautiful red camilla bush stands tall just outside my studio windows and is such rare beauty all winter long when everything else has died back or is resting beneath the earth. Yesterday walking with the dogs I noted that this was one of the very last blooms, on the verge of dropping and I had to capture it. A bittersweet thing, as I am overjoyed that spring is here, but the beloved camilla's time is over for another year...
