Today's the day ................... for sunshine and showers

But more of the showers than the sunshine - and most of them SO heavy that they would come into the 'downpour' category.

I'm sure, in common with a lot of the country just now, the ground is so sodden round here that there is standing water in any sort of a dip.  And quite a few new 'lochs' have appeared in quite a few fields.

Yes - we've had enough rain now.  A patch of 'ordinary' weather would be very welcome - just until we dry out a bit ................
