Carriageway walk - Rothbury

When the rain stopped, we went on what is known as the 'Carriageway walk'. The views of the Northumbrian hills were stunning in the late afternoon sunshine.
At the start of our walk, we passed Cartington Castle, a ruinous and partly restored medieval English castle - see today's extra.
