Good Friday

I wanted to get a slightly unconventional shot of this red tulip. I particularly wanted to capture the patterns in the petals and effect of the bright light against them. I thought the green backdrop of the leaf nicely accentuated the colour of the red petal.

Despite some early morning snow showers the weather really perked up today and we had some wonderful sunshine and clear blue skies, although the wind was still on the nippy side! Managed to get out for a few walks and enjoy the sunshine and the snowy hillsides.
