Union
Met up with one of my friends on the train through to Linlithgow, had a most enjoyable coffee (almost brunch) stop in town and then headed up onto the Union Canal.
That was our companion for the next few miles as we walked west towards Falkirk. The day stayed remarkably dry and was not as windy as I had expected. As we approached Falkirk we left the Canal and followed the John Muir Way into Callendar Wood and then the Park, deciding to call it a day there and have a relaxing cuppa in the tearoom at Callendar House. (Best scones ever, by the way!)
A wander into town to catch our respective trains home feeling that was a day well spent. I have had worse Mondays.
