Rowantree

Back Blip - just filling in the remaining gaps in my autumn backlog.

Our first Ramblers walk in November was one of my favourite local walks. On this occasion we met at the Falkirk Wheel and followed the path network through Roughcastle Community Woodland and out onto the site of Rough Castle Roman Fort. Continuing west from there one enters Bonnybridge and it's a short walk down to the Forth and Clyde Canal from where one can turn east and follow the canal back to the Wheel.

Today's Blip was taken at Rough Castle as we crossed the Rowantree Burn.
