Grey matters

We have a blue, green, black and now a grey bin as the High Street is part of a trial for a new weekly food waste collection.  

The blurb tells me that a third of the stuff in the black bins is food and that if it were recycled instead South Cambridgeshire would divert 17,000 tonnes from going to waste and turn it into soil improver to be used in farming.  What an excellent idea and less smelly than the other stuff!  

We were already diverting much of our food waste to the wormery and the green bin but this includes everything and is much simpler to manage.
