A Halloween trip

It rained. Heavily. Nevertheless we went for a drive and within just a few miles came across this entrance festooned with skeletons and with Henry. There were more behind where I was standing.

On up through the Sma’ Glen where the volume of water coming off the hills was high. See first extra.

Windscreen wipers on full speed and numerous flooding patches (some hiding potholes ) made for an exciting drive. We did spot some deer. - second extra - and some Scots pine. A lonely example in the third extra as the clouds began to disperse.

Back for birthday drinks and cake for one of the group then out for another lovely meal. Evening rounded off with a nighttime hot tub when the stars appeared. No shooting star as on the previous night. At least the nearby cemetery remained quiet.
