Buckeye

Aesculus californica, native chestnut. Big brown shiny seeds just like conkers. Whole tree in sunlight in extra.

Damp morning, dry by mid afternoon. Walked a loop in Los Altos Hills. The buckeye had dropped its leaves, but the nuts are still holding on.
