Stripey clouds

Today's the day ............................. to look at the sky

Anyone know what these sort of clouds mean?

I'm hoping that they are a good sign for the morning and that there will be no adverse weather conditions that will stop us getting to Liverpool airport tomorrow. I'm also hoping that there will be friendly clouds to fly through - down across the Channel and the length of France (passing Mont Blanc on the left) to Grenoble.
