En parlant aux ados

In this impressive chamber in the Palais de Commerce at Lyon today I fielded questions from more than 50 school kids aged 15 & 16 about my writing. The entire event was conducted in English, and I was seriously impressed by their ability in a foreign language. Couldn't help wondering if British kids could have done the same in French.

They also staged a dramatisation of one of my books, and the performances were extraordinarily good.

I am in Lyon for the Quais du Polar - an international crime-writing festival, featuring such big names of the genre as Harlan Coben, Patricia Cornwell and Jeffrey Deaver. Unfortunately the weather is dreadful. But the good food and wine more than makes up for it.
