Leave presents take my brother!

I popped into a local gift shop today to buy some birthday cards and had a quick look at all the masses of Christmas things on display. 
At first I thought  this was just some handwriting on a piece of paper. I was looking at the unusual peacock baubles alongside and realised it was actually a sign you can buy saying ‘ Dear Santa Leave presents Take my Brother. ‘.  Does anyone need to buy this? Would anyone really put this up? Clearly I don’t get the joke! Just commercial tat? I would rather donate money to charity than buy something so unnecessary as this.
