A Walk on the Wild Side
Sister Barb and I drove just south of Santa Fe to the fascinating community of Galisteo, NM. If you’re interested you can read about its very ancient (BC) and more current history here: https://www.galisteobasinpreserve.com/cultural-history
We walked the trails along the Galisteo Creek, where the cottonwood trees had already turned from yellow to brown. They sky was a brilliant blue, the clouds gorgeous, the sun strong and the place was very quiet….I felt as though we were honoring the many civilizations that have walked this place.
I thought it might make an interesting entry for Wild Wednesday - walking on the wild side in the Southwest! Many thanks to Cailleach for hosting.
