On duty

I managed to take some photos at the artificial island today both on my way to the sanctuary and back. It was amazing how much colder it felt when I stopped there on my way back than it had done earlier.

Both the Great Crested Grebe and the swan allowed me a look at their eggs but the count was the same as yesterday - 4 eggs for the Grebe and 7 for the swan. I was also able to get a photo of a Coot standing by its nest which I think had 4 eggs in it as well. I was going to blip that shot but eventually changed my mind and chose one of my photos of the male swan who constantly kept an eye on me while I was photographing his mate on the nest. I think I've been successful at posting the Coot as my first shot in my Blipfolio, if you would like to see it.

Thank you ever so much for all the comments, stars and hearts on my Great Crested Grebes blip from yesterday. :)
