(308) The Camera Eye

I spotted some aurora notifications this evening on social media but as I was a bit late to the party I could only make it as far as a local playing field to try and capture some of the display. Despite the obvious competition from streetlights, houses etc. I could clearly see that there was something happening in the sky but I must emphasise that this photo does not represent what I actually saw with my eyeballs. This is a 4 second exposure and the camera has recorded much more colour and detail in the sky than I could see with the naked eye. That said, I have only edited/processed the image to remove noise, apply lens correction and apply some clarity and dehaze, so I consider this to be a decent representation of what was happening in the sky at that time.
