Room to Breath

As you can see it was very busy at Holkham Beach this morning!  The car park certainly gave the impression that it was, but it's such a huge expanse of sand one soon loses the crowd.

This guy had a bird-watching scope, which was just as well as I suspect that whatever he was about to look at must have been a long way away.  There were a number of bird-watchers around, some were looking at shore larks but they were too distant for a photograph.

B and I enjoyed the company of  our friends JohnRH and W this morning for a wind-swept walk from Holkham to Wells-Next-the-Sea along the beach.  Punctuated with a coffee stop at Wells Beach Cafe, it was most enjoyable.

The extra is of the iconic beach huts at Wells. I've given it a super-saturated look reminiscent of those brightly coloured seaside postcards that I remember as a child.
