When most things in the garden are coming to an end and everything is looking a bit bedraggled and colourless - the Swiss Chard comes into its own.

Its vibrant red stems contrasting with the green leaves look as if they can't possibly be real - but they are.  And what's more, the are at their most delicious to eat .....................
