Sunday snuggles
We had a really gorgeous, gentle, snuggly half hour call this morning. She was sleepy, pyjama-clad and quite relaxed. It felt a step forward. She chatted, she let me talk gently through a few things and explain a few things she was edging towards getting angsty about.
Then the bell rang to indicate leaving for brunch, half an hour before she expected and panicked, still in her pjs. But I’m taking the step forward.
In other news, she had her first solo performance in the Woodwind Showcase last night. She was fairly happy last night with it but was tired and being quite hard on herself. By this morning, she was much happier. I was really grateful to her house parent who went to support Katie and the y8 from their house also performing. I’d felt a lot of guilt at the idea of her there with no one, she had no friends in it or coming to watch her. However, she took it as a chance to support someone from her boarding house and went together with this y8, and took the value in having Mrs R.
