Feed the Birds
I loved watching this little girl in Skipton feeding the pigeons. She was enjoying herself so much and was thrilled when they came to her. She has obviously been taught to be kind.
Her younger brother was a bit wary, he was only about two. The dad then showed them which bin to put the recycling in. This afternoon there were two families with a few kids and it was the complete opposite. The kids were chasing the pigeons and trying to kick them and the parents weren’t bothered. I went out and told the kids that was unkind and to stop it please.
Thanks for your comments about Bella and the fireworks. The heavy blanket works a treat she just lay there until she felt it was safe to come out.
By the way, have you seen the price of fireworks?!!! I saw a small box advertised for £69.99 :-0
I had a wander round the shops this morning which was very pleasant, the sun was shining and I got a few things I needed, like new cosy, thick socks, a leopard print hair band :-) and a neck hot water bottle for Frank!
Tomorrow we take Fiddlesticks to the dry dock in Skipton where she will be raised out of the water. We will then spend the next 3 days (including our wedding anniversary!) water blasting the old paint off her bottom, wire brushing and then repainting with 2 coats - the whole 55 ft of her! It’s not a nice job but it’s a lot cheaper to do it ourselves.
We bring Fiddlesticks back on Thursday and then I will be heading straight up to Airdrie for Lucy’s 6th birthday. It’s all go :-D
It’s been a nice chilled out Sunday.
I hope you’ve had a good one too.
:-)X
