On October 25th I blipped about the fact that dear sweet Johnny had Covid and was on a ventilator. He lost his fight on 28th October with Anne and his boys at his bedside.
Johnny had recently successfully completed a course of chemotherapy and we had all breathed a sigh of relief.
Their twins and our boys were inseperable as children and were always together at one or other of our houses. We all adored Johnny who was a farmer with the biggest heart and mischievous eyes. He was devoted to his family.
Anne and the boys came here for Sunday dinner today. The day took a bit of a turn as another car failed to break at 50 mph and careered into the back of Edgar's stationary car as he was turning right. Thankfully he is sore but fine.
The afternoon was peppered with love and laughter and sooo many tales about Johnny. Johnny would be so proud of them all.
This is a shot of beautiful, brave Anne who has spent her life looking after other people's wellbeing and making them feel loved. I think she's both grateful and overwhelmed by the huge outpouring of love and support for her and her boys over this last week.
