Crocodile Birthday

As this is Ben's eighteenth birthday, I'm posting the eighteenth birthday crocodile he has ever had - birthday breakfast crocodiles being something of a tradition in our household.

(He got champagne too because of being 18 but that bit is not compulsory.)

Having a crocodile birthday is simple: you go to the Cake Shop in Woodbridge and ask them to - very kindly - bake you a crocodile.

And they say yes. Big or small?

Big is best because there's more crocodile to love. Uncurled it would be about 3foot long.

And you go down to the bakery in the morning early and pick up your croc all hot and steaming from the oven and decorate it nicely and wake up the lucky birthday recipient and it lasts about five minutes before it is mostly a beautiful memory....
