Productive

In contrast to yesterday we were up and out by 9 this morning and first took Paisley to the field again so she could run free for a while and get worn out, on the basis that this might calm her down a bit when we later went to the beach and there would be lots of dogs around. She had a good run, then we headed to Porty and sat in the car eating rather delicious but messy bacon avocado and tomato bagels with coffee from Bros before heading to the sand. The tide was coming in but still far enough out to give us a fair bit of space. A lot of the time we had the place to ourselves (we were at the far Joppa end) but as we headed back to the car we had a couple of tricky moments as other dogs running free came dashing over and it’s no help when owners just shout ‘he’s friendly don’t worry’ whilst poor Paisley's going bonkers jumping and barking and clearly not happy. Having two of us meant I could deal with the other dogs (and owners!) and A could deal with Paisley. Do hope she’ll get over this ….definitely makes walks hard.
It was a lovely bright sunny day and good to get out and about.
I nipped in for our food shopping as we came home then we set about cleaning (easier with 2 of us!), baking for the offices (gingerbread), doing laundry and sorting. I also managed to get some work done that’s been hanging over me and cleared a load of emails whilst A watched a movie, then I tackled the ironing whilst she cleaned and sorted her room and animals.
Made aubergine parmigiana for supper. M was up here having finished a rally and Ad went out to dinner with him but we were both a bit pooped and just wanted to relax on the sofa and catch up on Showtrial rather than going out again. Good day though…we’re ready for the week ahead!
