Up to the Lakes

We set off this morning for a few days in the Lake District. We're with John Gravett on his last ever pre-scheduled workshop in the lakes. We ambled up the motorways before reaching the lakes. We skirted Ullswater (where we stopped to photograph the famous boathouse blipped) and then went over Kirkstone Pass. We stopped off at Surprise View with the light almost gone but just had time to take in the view across Derwent Water (see extra).

We arrived to meet the fellow workshop attendees and had a great dinner in the local pub. The weather looks damp tomorrow but I'm sure we'll find plenty to photograph.
