Pilot whales ahead

We usually see dolphins. There have been reports of recent sperm whales.

Today we were treated to the most wonderful sighting of lots of pilot whales.

The weather was perfect.
The catamaran was not full, and I happened to be near a lovely family from Edinburgh and a couple from near London. Excellent company (particularly lovely when you’re travelling alone.)

After that excitement, I headed to the restaurant favoured by locals, Restaurante  Londres. A half portion of the dish of the day - no photo as it’s not elegant, but what a great way to celebrate being back in Madeira.
