Broad Brush
The sky was amazing this afternoon. Loosely washed with limpid blue, then brushed with white gouache by a giant arm. That's the view to the north. Looking south towards the border is the extra. Slightly different strokes.
I'd have spent more time taking pictures, but we were in the midst of getting my car onto a transporter. Last night, coming home at nightfall, we went into a huge pothole. That's not an uncommon event and we forgot about it.
Until TM set off down the drive today and discovered a very flat tyre. This car doesn't have a spare tyre - just a can of goo and a pump that you are supposed to use to squirt the goo into the tyre. And - who knew - this goo has a shelf life - and mine was well past it.
TM announced he'd take the wheel off and carry/roll it down to the Tyre Man. I rang my breakdown service. They appeared within 20 minutes, negotiated the drive without any trouble, and, to cut to the end, the car is home, with a new tyre, and we're not marooned up our hill. Just a little bit poorer ...
