Beech avenue, Mote Park

My observations about the joys of painting skirting boards struck a chord with many of you. Ceilings too. I’ve not got on with masking tape as I’ve found paint can seep underneath.

We would most likely have got someone in to do the work if it was own house but we’re trying to save all the money we can to limit the drain on Doreen’s resources seeing as her care costs are crippling at £160 a day. Renting out her house will make her savings go further.

I had some time off this morning. Only to go to the dentist. Bit of a Hobson’s Choice. No treatment needed just the usual painful scale and clean.

This beech avenue is a favourite of ours, especially in the autumn. It’s been blipped a few times before.

More painting today. Ceilings and doors. At 6’ 4” ceilings hold no terror.
